OCTOBER HALF TERM

There's a whole lot of spooky goings on this half term but if that's not your thing, there's plenty of other less ghoulish happenings taking place.

FAMILY FUN at HELL FIRE CAVES, WEST WYCOMBE During Halloween week head to the courtyard at the Hellfire Caves for lots of free Halloween fun, spooky games, colouring competitions, fancy dress competitions and more, all hosted by the resident spooks. Face painting is also available for a small charge. There is no charge for the fun and games or access to the courtyard and delightful cafe, but normal entry prices apply if you want to enter the caves.


PAINT YOUR OWN POTTERY at DANCING TEAPOT STUDIO, MARLOW

Feeling creative then head along to the Dancing Teapot in Marlow, where you can choose from a fun selection of bisque ceramics to paint and decorate, ranging from £4 per item upwards.  What will you choose a plate, ornament or mug, why not start thinking along the festive lines. Make sure you book your session in advance.


SPOOKY SING ALONG CONCERTINI WITH MAIRI COWIESON AND FRIENDS at NORDEN FARM - 31 OCT 11.30am and 2pm (45 mins)

Bring the whole family and sing along to a spooky 45 minutes of music from stage and screen. Including songs from The Rocky Horror Picture Show and The Little Shop of Horrors all performed by West End singer Mairi Cowieson and friends.

The 11.30am show is a Relaxed performance – ideal for families with babies and toddlers or children with SEND.

Don your spookiest costume or grab something from the dressing up box before the concert!

THEATRE OF WIDDERSHINS PRESENTS RUMPELSTILTSKIN AND THE SNAIL OF DESTINY at NORDEN FARM - 29 and 30 OCT 11.30am and 2pm (55 mins)

Morgan & West present captivating chemistry, phenomenal physics and bonkers

biology in this science extravaganza! Expect explosive thrills, chemical spills and a risk assessment that gives their stage manager chills. All backed up by the daring duo’s trademark wit, charm and detailed knowledge of the scientific method. Leave your lab coats at the door it’s time for Unbelievable Science.


WILLOWS ACTIVITY FARM 19 OCT - 3 NOV

Willows Farm is full of pumpkins, Peter Rabbit and Friends and dinosaurs this half term.  Each child will have the chance to pick a pumpkin from the Pumpkin Patch to take home or carve in the Carving Cavern, Peter Rabbit and Friends will star in seasonal shows and meet & greets plus there will be some prehistoric visitors with dinosaur shows and activities.


MILLETS FARM HALF TERM HALLOWEEN SPOOK-TACULAR 26 OCT - 2 NOV

Spook-tacular goings on at Milletts Farm. From gremlins and goblins to witches with charm, a circus, a disco and loads of spookily good fun.

Wrap up warm and head to the woods for activities about predators, decomposers and other nasty nature.

RIVER & ROWING MUSEUM until 3 NOV

Throughout half term Henley's River & Rowing Museum has a number of activities taking place including make a Dragon Boat, Wild Wood on Halloween, Forest Friends & Towers and Turrets. These run alongside the continuing Bears exhibition. check the website fro full details.

BRICK OR TREAT at LEGOLAND WINDSOR 17 OCT - 2 NOV

The Royal Windsor Racecourse fireworks return for 2019 with a spectacular circus theme on Saturday 2nd November! With a funfair and live circus performers.


HALLOW'WELLY'WEEN AT WELLINGTON COUNTRY PARK - 26th Oct- 1st Nov

There will will be spooky halloween goings on in the park this half term from pumpkin carving to to potion making, shows galore and so much more.

STONOR SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN - 26 OCT - 3 NOV

This half term Stonor host a Spooktacular Halloween event. Search the garden for riddles, solve the mystery and receive a sweet treat, tickets to the event also includes entry into the Wonder Woods. There will be the chance to carve a pumpkin and for one day Stonor brings a Mud & Guts workshop (booking required) to the grounds where children can build dens and light fires. All this and a scarecrow competion. Don't forget to dress in your scary best to share a selfie to be in with a winning chance.   For the bravest of all, head to an evening of Victorian ghostly story telling by Bill Spectre in the Medieval Hall.


BRAINIAC LIVE at THE WYCOMBE SWAN - 29 OCT

Strap on your safety goggles boys and girls, due to popular demand Science’s greatest and most volatile live show is returning with a vengeance.

Watch from the safety of your seat as the Brainiacs delve fearlessly into the mysteries of science and do all of those things on stage that you’re too scared to do at home!


BRICKIES - VARIOUS DATES & VENUES

Brickies will be delivering a Monster Madness themed workshop at various venues.

The LEGO building workshops are aimed at children aged 5 – 12 years old* . Brickies is all about promoting imagination and creativity, there are no instructions and there is no right way or wrong way to build something.


STUBBINGS WALK WITH THE GHOSTS - 24, 25, 26 OCT

Older children can join fellow ghoulish thrill seekers at Stubbings for dinner and a walk to remember. Included in the ticket price will be a light dinner in the Cafe, along with a 25 minute walk round the grounds of the old Manor house.


HALLOWEEN GHOST HUNT at WYCOMBE MUSEUM - 31 OCT from 3pm

Meet the ghosts of Castle Hill House as you tour the Museum in this after-dark experience. Come dressed up and ready to scare as you enjoy some frightening foods and take part in ghoulish games. Can you solve the clues to complete your mission and make it out safely?
