The Maidenhead Beach is back – inspired by the laid back tropical paradise that is Goa. Relax at a beachside café table while the little ones play in the sand. Join us for the Grand Opening with a free Bollywood Dance Taster Session, tropical drinks and more on Wednesday 24 July at 10.30am. The beach is open daily from 10am - 4pm until Sunday 25 August. Admission is free.

For maximum chill out, explore the indoor chill out space in our Gallery, featuring work from local schools. Lie back and enjoy projections in the fisherman’s hut or go fishing in shiny waters and add your creations to the walls.

We are holding Kite Workshops across the school holidays. Design your own kite then see your creation take to the sky! In these drop-in sessions (£3.50 per person) our practitioners will guide you through the process of making either the Patang Kite – the Indian Fighter Kite, or a classic Trapezoid Kite. Make and decorate your kite to stand out in the sky at the free Community Kite Festival which takes place in Boyn Grove Park on Sunday 1 September.

With Storytelling (£2 – recommended for ages 3-7 years) at 11am and 1.30pm in the magical story den and Arts and Crafts sessions (£5 – recommended for ages 5-8 years) at 10am Monday to Saturday, a trip to Norden Farm is the perfect way to while away a summer’s day.

Whether your children are more into the circus, art, or theatre, we have a Summer Activity Week to suit everyone. There is also an three-day intensive dance workshop.

The holidays also feature drop-in sessions of our popular Digi Den to give young people their digital arts fix over the holidays. Improve, develop and learn various arts with a digital focus. Suitable for all levels of experience. The sessions are every Friday during the holidays from 5pm to 6.30pm. The course is £40 for the five week term or £9 per session.

Family films are screened throughout the holidays, including the latest offerings in Disney’s series of live action films Aladdin and The Lion King. Lovable characters return in Toy Story 4, Detective Pikachu and The Secret Life of Pets 2 among other films for the whole family. Tickets for each of these screenings are £8 (£6 under 16s), Family and Friends (4 people) £24.

For live theatre fans, we also have four fantastic children’s shows. Tickets are £11 (£9 under 16s), Family and Friends (4 people) £36 (unless otherwise stated)

The Paper Moon is a gentle first adventure into theatre for babies, young children and their grown-ups. Be taken on a scrinchy scrunchy papery journey on Thursday 25 July at 11am, 1.30pm and 3pm. Suitable for ages 0-3 years. Tickets are £12 (includes a baby/infant under 3 years), tickets for additional children are £8.

Eggs on Legs is a cracking family show full of wonder and surprise. Garlic Theatre brings us a Dr Seuss world filled with funny, crazy eggs that hatch in the most unexpected places. It is on Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 August at 11.30am and 2pm. Recommended for ages 3-7 years.

Children’s television royalty Sam and Mark bring their new show Sam and Mark’s On the Road Show to Norden Farm. Join the BAFTA award winning duo for an unmissable hour of entertainment jam packed with sketches, jokes and games on Monday 12 August at 2pm. Recommended for ages 6-12 years.

Go undercover in a highly interactive show bursting with storytelling and songs. Clare Hollingworth and the Scoop of the Century is on Thursday 15 August at 11.30am and 2pm. From the busy newspaper offices in London to the frontline during World War II, Clare’s adventures tell the remarkable true story of one of the most important writers of our time.
