NIGHT OUT: Norden Farm John-Luke Roberts: All I Wanna Do Is [FX: GUNSHOTS] - 3 MAY

One of the Edinburgh Fringe's most celebrated talents of recent times sets out on his first full national tour.

John-Luke Roberts' show this year was a complete sell-out run and one of the most talked about shows of the festival: a dizzying avant-garde ride through the mind of a gifted comic-philosopher. One with a blue moustache. Who thinks far more about the Spice Girls than anyone should. A masterclass in prop, clown, costume and Mel C-themed comedy.

BOOK WORMS: Book signing at The Little Bookshop - 4 May

Louise Carron Harris is a modern day medicine woman, a shaman, mystic, healer, teacher & story teller. Come and meet her at The Little Bookshop, Cookham where she is promoting her book, Awakening of the Western Woman. “Awakening of the Western Woman” is the journey to soul’s purpose. It is for the seekers and the sceptics, the curious and the conscious creators; the lightworkers and the lovers. It answers the question: Is the divine union between a spiritual woman and scientific man possible when one is being called to awaken?

FAMILY: Henley Arts Trail - 4 - 6 May

A little further afield the Henley Arts Trail has grown into a regular feature of the cultural and social calendar of Henley on Thames. The trail showcases the finest artistic talent to be found in Henley and it's surronding villages.

A venue not to be missed is Coltmans Farm Open Studio in Waltham St Lawrence. Home to TV and film sculptor Dick Budden, you'll be able to enjoy a cup of tea and home made cake while sitting in the beautiful garden surrounded by his work or perusing the many artistic offerings including Cookham artist Matthew Burley, mesmerizing mosaics and beautiful glass art to name but a few. Make sure your purse is on hand!

FAMILY: The Great Antique & Vintage Car Boot Fair at Stonor - 5 May

With a high standard of antique and vintage wares, an average of more than 150 quality sellers and two and half thousand buyers, which has included Russell Brand, Pete Doherty and Mary Berry at previous fairs, it never fails to be a great day.

KIDS: Pop Up Play Village Knights and Princesses' - 17 & 18 May at St Luke's Community Hall & 25 May at Marlow Sea Cadets Hall

Pop Up Play Village is a fun role play experience for children – A castle for Princesses and one for Knights has popped up along with some dress up fun! Not only that but you can extend them in the construction site, shop in the supermarket, check that the lord and lady are healthy in the hospital, or enjoy something a little messy in the themed tuff tray fun area!

The class will be full of wonderful ideas for play, expect plenty of rolling around on the floor in yoga animal poses and flying high!

FAMILY: Stonor Super Car Sunday - 19 May

The lush green lawns of Stonor House are once again filled with super cars. Everything from pioneering race cars to classic sports cars to modern hyper cars, the day is a tribute to passion, power and performance.

There's more than just cars… Upscale street food stalls, delicious gourmet picnics and acres of children’s activities: the Stonor Wonder Woods Adventure playground, fairground rides and laser tag.

KIDS: Mud & Guts Workshops at Stonor 29 - 30 May

Mud & Guts is an outdoor adventure company for children. They have been teaching children how to build shelters, light fires and not get lost in the woods for eight years.

With its hybrid of bushcraft tutoring, natural world education and good old fashioned games there is enough to keep minds and bodies engaged and enthralled.

With two sessions per day; 10am-12noon for 5-7 year olds and 1pm-4pm for ages 8+, although ages can be flexible. Troops will be entertained with games (capture the flag, 'camo' hide n’ seek, manhunt) quizzes and bush craft challenges such as den building, fire lighting & whittling & navigation and tracking skills.

KIDS: Big Tree Climb at Stonor - 31 May

The Great Big Tree Climbing Co. is returning to Stonor Park, so try your hand at climbing one of our biggest trees under the tutorage of The Great Big Tree Climbing Co., the largest provider of recreational tree climbing in the country.

Suitable for anyone over 6 years old (including the adults!).

Ever wanted to try Sailing? Head along to Maidenhead Sailing Club and experience a friendly and welcoming club based in the heart of Maidenhead. Have a taster session out on the water or relax while watching those on the water over lunch or a drink.

KIDS: My First Ballet - Sleeping Beauty at Wycombe Swan - 4 & 5 May

Give your children their first taste of the magical world of ballet with this classic fairy tail ballet produced especially for children.

NIGHT OUT: Live@ Holy Trinity Holy Trinity Church - 4 May

See Holy Trinity transformed into a unique music venue with the talented Barney Newman and Tom Leary, an exciting duo from the Midlands playing a unique blend of "Old Time'' Banjo and Fiddle tunes,"Country Blues" and original music. Followed by Alt-folk duo Stables, they put emphasis on 'energy' when playing live; switching instruments and producing the sound of a full band, with big harmonies and varied styles. With a bar too, this is a very different church experience.

Family: Royal Windsor Horse Show - 8-12 May

Head to the annual Royal Windsor Horse Show which offers an extensive programme of first-class equestrian competition and performances in five arenas. The displays in the main Castle Arena include The Musical Ride of The Household Calvary Mounted Regiment, The Musical Drive of The King’s Troop RHA, The DAKS Pony Club Mounted Games and The Land Rover Shetland Pony Grand National. As well as the equestrian competitions and activities, there are over 220 shops in the Shopping Village, with a wide range of goods for sale, from jewellery and fashion, to food and drink. Her Majesty The Queen has attended every year since the Show started in 1943 and it is the only time of the year that the private grounds of Windsor Castle are open to the public.

NIGHT OUT: Laurent-Perrier Supper at Bel & The Dragon Cookham - 16 May

Head to Bel & The Dragon in Cookham High St for a sumptuous Laurent-Perrier champagne-paired three-course supper. With local and seasonal dishes this will be an evening to remember and at £60 per person, amazing value too.

KIDS: Half Term Concertini with The Polka Dots at Norden Farm - 28 May 11.30am & 2pm

Grab your tiny dancers and head to Concertini for upbeat originals and cover songs, high energy dance routines and on-stage charisma. Vintage vocal harmony band The Polka Dots bring the best of 1940s and 50s classics - plus some modern numbers with a retro twist!

The 11.30am is a Relaxed performance – ideal for families with babies and toddlers or children with SEND.

FAMILY: BCA Family Zoo Day - 25th May

Spend the morning or afternoon visiting BCA Zoo which is home to more than 1500 animals. There will be keeper talks and feeds, the chance to get to meet some marvellous mini beasts thanks to metabugs and loads more to do.
